Background

Rafael Sánchez Torres has spent more than 17 years working across business strategy, operations, technology, and transformation — in eight industries, three markets, and both the private and public sectors.

His career has placed him on different sides of execution: designing systems, leading digital and operational initiatives, managing teams, advising decision-makers, and ultimately serving as the executive accountable for making strategy work in practice. That perspective shaped a simple conviction: organizations rarely struggle because they lack ideas. The greater challenge is building the systems required to turn those ideas into consistent execution.

Throughout his career, Rafael has contributed to projects and initiatives involving organizations such as Holsum, Mars, Kellogg’s, MMM, FirstBank, Grant Thornton, and the Government of Puerto Rico, among others. His work has included operational efficiency, digital transformation, technology adoption, service experience, process redesign, and organizational change across a range of business environments.

He has worked with founder-led businesses, mid-market organizations, large enterprises, and public institutions, and previously taught marketing and consumer behavior at the university level.

In 2026, he founded Intelbex to work directly with leadership teams on the systems behind strategy: how decisions are made, how work moves, how technology supports the organization, and how strategic priorities become operating reality.
